About the Faculty

The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences (AMS) is considered the most important tributary of health education for a comprehensive renaissance in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Faculty of AMS is one of the Faculties of Mutah University, as it aims to improve the health and treatment services provided to the citizen. It aims to prepare highly qualified staff to work in the field of health care.

The Faculty was established in 2022 after housing two academic departments: The Department of Cosmetology and Cosmetics, which was affiliated within the Faculty of Pharmacy, as it was established in the academic year 2020/2021, and the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, which was affiliated within the Faculty of Science as it was established in the academic year 2014/2015.

AMS Faculty aspires to be leading faculty regionally in the areas of education and research in medical sciences. The Faculty also aspires to meet quality standards in academic work and develop its programs in line with the continuous development in the health professions by training its students in government-accredited Jordanian hospitals to be qualified for practical life.

The administration of the University and the Faculty seeks to create and open many qualitative and unique academic departments to supply the local and regional market with qualified cadres that support the health system. Among the future departments that the Faculty strives to create in the coming period are: The Department of Physiotherapy, the Department of Radiology, the Department of Respiratory Therapy and Intensive Care, and the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Diets. Which will be a tributary to the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center at Mutah University, in addition to the postgraduate program in Laboratory Medical Sciences.
